Had a few requests for this, so made up a few photos and a small video showing our aviary set up and the budgerigars inside.
There’s an indoor and outdoor flight, 4 breeding cages (the dark ones), only 2 in use for breeding right now. The bottom 2 are being used as nursery and hospital cages at the moment. There’s 2 white cages on the other side that we normally use for the chicks, or for the hen before she’s ready to go back into the aviary.
Tiles on the floor (bought cheap at Focus) for easy cleaning, and a bit of lino on the side that got extended. the aviary will be getting extended again sometime this Spring, so I’m really looking forward to that

This is how we set-up our cages for two lovebirds!! We forgot to mention the rope perch attached to the front top of the cage with a bird candy! Sierra is looking a bit rough as she is going through a molt!
This set-up can work for one lovebird too!
